Description
Big Red Reserve Montes de Lá expresses at its best the characteristics of Alto Alentejo, an area covered by the microclimate of the Serra de S. Mamede.
Cépage: Alicante Bousche, Aragonez and Trincadeira
Production Method: The harvest is done manually into 25kg plastic boxes. The bunches are completely destemmed and then fermented in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature for approximately 10 days. After malolactic fermentation, aging takes place in new French and American oak barrels for 18 months, followed by 1 year in bottle.
Tasting Note: With a garnet color, it has aromas of fruit with a mixture of spices and vanilla. In the mouth it is smooth, with balanced acidity, round and firm tannins, allowing a long and persistent finish.
Enologist: David Patrício
Suggestion: Consumption at 16ºC is recommended. Ideal to accompany Portuguese style partridge, lamb roti with herbs or game pies.
